The Pfunderer Valley is close to nature

The residence in the Pfunderer Mountains is located at the tail end of the Pfunderer Valley among meadows at the southern slope of the Dun Mountains with an elevation of 1,500 m.
The Dun Mountains are also the central starting point of the Pfunderer Moutains. A special treat for passionate mountain climbers is the Pfunderer ridgeway (Pfunderer Höhenweg) with its Hochfeiler peak at an elevation of 3,150 m. Scenic hiking trails lead you through fields and forests to picturesque lookout points. Indulge in wanderlust among valleys, alpine pastures, lakes, glaciers and mountain peaks accompanied by fresh mountain air.

One of the biggest common hill pastures, the Weitenberger Alm, is located to the northwest. It is surrounded by 3,000-meter peaks, e.g. Wurmmaul and Grabspitze.
Hiking possibilities originating at Weitenberg are:

• Westward via Sandscharte to Brixner Hütte and to Wilde Kreuzspitze
  
• Northbound via the Pfunderer Joch to Pfitsch or via Keller-Scharte to the Hochfeilerhütte and the Hochfeiler.
  
• Another possibility following the northeastern direction:
  By Eisbruggalm to Eisbruggsee to the Edelrauthütte (Eisbruggjochhütte). From there you can take advantage of magnificent possibilities to the Zillertaler Mountains and glaciers, e.g. Weisszint.
